Meet the Backcountry Ramblers Club x Cuyama Buckhorn hoodie — made in tribute to the San Rafael Wilderness, California’s first designated wilderness zone and one of the nation's most protected landscapes. For those who prefer the scenic route and solitude of the backcountry, the Cuyama Valley offers a gateway to some of California’s most pristine and untamed wilderness.
The front design features a nod to "The Y," the historic fork junction of Highways 33 and 166, once a landmark for locals and travelers alike. Though the iconic sign is no longer standing, its spirit lives on as the Backcountry Rambler Club logo.
On the back you’ll find a Peregrine Falcon illustration, an image found within a trail registry box at the top of our Sierra Madre Mountains behind The Buckhorn. It stands as a symbol of the untamed, rugged wild.
When you visit Cuyama Buckhorn and join Backcountry Ramblers Club on an excursion, we offer a starting point for getting to know this awe-inspiring, vast landscape on our own private slice of wilderness.
